REPORT FROM WILTSHIRE COUNCILLOR
National government has now set a 3 year settlement to the county councils, this could enable the ability to forecast budgets more accurately rather than year on year. Council Tax due to rise by 4.99%. Car parking charges due to rise by 20% and the duration they are enforced is likely to be raised to 7am to 7pm. New rubbish and recycling systems (3 weekly) are also likely to come into play this year. Area board still working towards better engagement from local councils and moving forward with smaller working groups.

POLICE REPORT
Working in the valley locally to prevent hare coursing, local graffiti has been reported and is being monitored through the valley.

REPORTS FROM SUB-COMMITTEES & REPRESENTATIVES ON OTHER GROUPS
a) Phoenix Hall - Utility costs have raised significantly putting financial pressure on the management committee. Not renewing their music license. Significant monies owed to them by previous hirers.
b) Planning - to be discussed in Parish matters.
c) Footpaths & Rights of Way - NIL
d) Transport & Highways - LT to contact Kate Davey to discuss adding ‘horse rider’ signs to each end of the village. Possibility of adding to existing signage.
e) Allotments - 1 vacant plot. Community shed repaired, guttering fixed, invoice to pay for guttering clips etc.
f) Jubilee Committee - NIL
g) Stonehenge Area Board - Extensive minutes are available on line via the Wilts Council website.
h) Parish Steward - Focusing on pot holes currently around the county.

a) National Insurance- will be liable as of the next financial year.
b) Planning PL/2025/09677- For: 3 Against: 2 Abstain: 1
c) Phoenix Hall Clerk wage contribution- Request has been made for a contribution to the clerk wage on an ongoing basis. All Councillors agree that we cannot look to a regular contribution as not budgeted for this year.
d) May/APM meeting date- 19th May APM and regular Parish Council meeting.
