REPORT FROM WILTSHIRE COUNCILLOR

New version area board meeting has shown a wish for links between parish councillor across each area to be grown. IBP thinking of new ways to expand their communication offerings with the individual parish councils to increase engagement. Wiltshire Council has turned down the 2nd home council tax stipend that was optioned to them at the start of this year. Councillors have also voted to keep tax and services rises in line with CPI. Parking charges for the county at a 20% increase this year with a review in 2 years.

REPORTS FROM SUB-COMMITTEES & REPRESENTATIVES ON OTHER GROUPS

a)    Phoenix Hall - Next meeting 14th January.

b)   Planning - Nil

c)   Footpaths & Rights of Way - Cllr PC contacted Landmarc regarding trimming of the Droveway. To purchase signs regarding dog fouling for The Warren and selected footpaths in the village.

d)   Transport & Highways - Gulley by the old tea rooms blocked up, unlikely to get a full clear due to its partial collapse. Salt bins needs topping up, reported on MyWilts. Salt bin requested for access road at Enford end of Fittleton to contact Wilts Council as a request.

e)    Allotments - 2 allotments still empty, to advertise in Newsletter again. Water pipe has been looked at by Wessex Water, however still same issue with not being able to shut off and keep open from mains. Community shed will need re-felting this year, also investigating to add guttering and a water butt, approximate cost of around £200.

f)   Jubilee Committee - NIL

g)   Stonehenge Area Board - Cllr PC attended the last meeting. Extensive minutes are available on line via the Wilts Council website.

h)   Parish Steward - Couldn’t visit on last planned date due to adverse weather in the county.
