REPORT FROM WILTSHIRE COUNCILLOR
Finalising Wiltshire Council budget however funding is lacking with government allocation for rural counties, including a loss with National insurance increases not fully covered. No services due to be cut in the next financial year. Devolution not clear yet as to elections being held in May and will update when they are clarified. Heart of Wessex region to be set up still with councils making a request for who they would prefer to join with to make clearer regions however all to be approved before anything moves forward.
